You know those glossy “before and after” transformations, those success stories where everyone’s smiling, tanned, and pretending they didn’t cry into a salad for 12 weeks straight? Yeah… that’s not this.
This is real life. This is me, Diane, your plus size personal trainer in NYC and Curvy Goddess coach, starting my own 16-Week Transformation journey, right here on CurvyGoddessWorkout.com, and inviting you to come along for the ride.
“This is real life . . . no filters, no perfection, just progress.”
The Plan: One Week at a Time
Every week, I’ll be posting updates, the highs, the lows, the “why does my sports bra feel like medieval armor?” moments and breaking down what really works for plus-size women who are done with the diet drama.
Think of this as part diary, part experiment, part “you are not alone, sis” love letter to every woman who’s ever said, “I’m starting over… again.”
I’ll be sharing:
Workouts — from gym sessions at Powerhouse to home workouts in messy hair and fierce energy.
Nutrition that works — no celery juice cults, just real food and real results.
Sleep, supplements, and mindset resets — because transformation isn’t just physical.
Weekly reflections — what’s changing inside and out, one week at a time.

Why I’m Doing This
Because I’ve coached hundreds of women who keep waiting for the perfect time to start. And newsflash . . . That time doesn’t exist!
So instead of waiting, I’m documenting my own transformation journey, raw, unfiltered, and hopefully a little bit of cheekiness to show what it really looks like when you’re building consistency, confidence, and curves that move.
If You’ve Ever Thought...
“I just want to get healthy without losing my mind.”
“I want to see someone who looks like me doing this.”
“I’m tired of starting over.”
Then this is your sign to tune in each week because you’re not alone in this journey, and together we’re rewriting what getting fit looks like.

What You’ll Get Out of It
You’ll see what it takes to go from tired and frustrated to strong, confident, and unstoppable.
Here’s what you’ll actually gain from following this plus size fitness journey:
And the best part? You’ll see it unfold in real time, not in some “after photo from six months ago.”

Because this isn’t just about weight loss. It’s about reclaiming your energy, your confidence, and your power, one week at a time.
So, grab your coffee, your protein shake, or your emotional support water bottle… And let’s do this.
TOGETHER!

Woohoo! You got this! I’m excited to hear about your journey.
Oh! I love that you’re the first one to comment. I’m excited too. Thanks, Betsy. And I’ll see you on Monday. 😊❤️
Let’s do this. I cant wait to see the results from all the hard fun work put into this transformation.
Hey Holly!
Glad you commented. Another email’s going to drop in a couple of hours. Think about what your plan is for the 16 weeks. Doesn’t have to be elaborate or perfect. Then reply back.
Good morning Diane,
My goal and plan for the next 16 weeks is this:
My goal is to finally be at a normal BMI for the first time in 23 years.
I am planning to achieve this by 1. Keeping sugar at bay( lost 6 lbs in 21 days without sugar) 2. 30 min cardio 4-5 days a week 3. Strength training 30 min 4-5 days a week and 4. Eat as balanced a diet as possible. (Finances suck right now)
All of these things are solid. And you can avoid plateauing by changing up your cardio and strength training routine after a few weeks. GREAT JOB, Holly!
I’m excited to go on this journey with you!! Let’s do this!!
Welcome, Lisa. I just replied back to your email. Let me know if you want to do what I suggested in the email. And glad you are doing this!
I am excited to start
So glad you’re excited. Me too! So glad you’re doing it.
I have a mini goal weight I’d love to reach during this challenge and I’d also like to get through the holidays in a healthier way. During these 16 weeks we have Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s, my sister’s 50th birthday cruise and potentially Valentines Day. I need to find ways to enjoy these events without letting them derail my progress.
Yes, you do. They are just blips in the year. (Maybe not your sister’s 50th birthday.) But the other events are.
One of my friends asked me last night what I want Thanksgiving to be like, any dishes that I’d like her to make since she knows I’m focused on my health and fitness these days. I was taken aback that she was so thoughtful.
My plan is to focus on my food and water intake, and be more consistent with my workouts.
What does “focus on my food and water intake”? Be more specific. I’m coaching you right now. Also consistent meaning most days for 15 min at least or consistent at x days at 30 min at least? Specificity to help with a more accurate target to lock in.
My goal is to improve my nutrition & my consistency. To make changes & form habits and have a healthy sustainable lifestyle.
How are you going to improve your nutrition? What does consistency look like to you? Give me some specifics. It will help you to stick to it because your target is clearer.
Alright… I need to lock in. My bday in 2 weeks and I’ve gained so much weight that Im low key depressed. If I can get a pound off I will look at it as a success. Here we go!
Even taking action doing one thing will help you get out of that low key depressive feeling. You’ll feel accomplished and confident even you did a 10-15 minute workout.
My goals are to get movement in every day. 20 min or more and to be mindful of what I’m eating
Sounds great! Are there any tools you use to be more mindful of what you’re eating? I use Carb Manager and track right after I eat my meal. It’s so helpful.
I have been on a journey for a while. Recently, the last few months, have went through some life changes and fell off. Fell of hard. Gained 25 pounds back from an 80 pound weight loss. 😔 I am struggling to find the strength to get back up and going! Praying to find the motivation and push from this 16 week journey! I’m here for it!
What are you going to do today to take a step forward on your 16-week journey? Doesn’t have to be big. Just do something that will give you a small win.
I’m focusing on being consistent and being mindful of my choices.
What are your plans on being consistent and mindful? Give me some details.
My goal is to count calories. And if I go over know it’s ok and just to start on the next day rather than giving up
Great! What app are you using to track?
I’m using Yazio!
WOW! Yazio is great. I just subscribed for a year. Thank you, Jodi!
